Women Build - Compressed

Women Build is a special program that supports the efforts of Habitat for Humanity to eliminate substandard housing. It is a true empowerment program which reaches across boundaries of gender, race, and class. The program brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. Women Build empowers women to take action against poverty housing conditions.

Women Build volunteers have the opportunity to participateWM #3 in training sessions to learn various building skills before coming to an actual Habitat build site. Trained volunteers and staff provide onsite instruction and supervision to all volunteers.

In 2015, we held our first Women Build. Thanks for the Rotary and Lowe’s for joining us at the construction site. We had 2 build days and over 20+ women volunteering! They worked on installing siding, painting, and building decks.
