2008

  • ReStore - Preparing to open the first ReStore in New Hampshire

  • Dedication of the Baird Forner Home - SENH representatives and local businesses joined the family to celebrate the home's completion.

  • Bike and Build - Bike & Build organizes cross-country bicycle trips which benefit affordable housing groups

  • A Night To Build Dreams - Our third annual "Night To Build Dreams" took our participants on a sea cruise! Held at the New England Center, guests were treated to multiple decks of silent auction items, a full muster drill and amazing displays of caribbean food as they helped to sail this year's event to success.

2007

  • Telling the Ledoux Family - Share in the joy as we confirm that the LeDoux family has been selected for our next home.

  • A Night To Build Dreams - Our second annual "Night To Build Dreams" was a rousing success! Successful bidders left with magical room makeovers, trips to South Africa, jewelry, Red Sox tickets, balloon rides, vacations on lakes and in wineries, power tools, running shoes, days at the spa, and even an entire dinner for eight prepared by a professional chef at home.

  • Habitat for Humanity McGill builds in NH - Habitat for Humanity McGill is a student club that works locally, nationally, and internationally to fight poverty and poverty housing. Habitat McGill works mostly with charities in the Montreal. Their ongoing activities include working with soup kitchens, tutoring, poverty awareness campaigns, and more. At present, Habitat for Humanity is not building in Montreal, so down they came for a build in NH. Check out the fantastic photographs of these dedicated young people. They worked very hard so another family could live their dream in a Habitat home!

  • Cross-country bike riders helping Habitat - June 22, 2006 - What a great group of young adults...each of the 30 riders stood up and said their name, what school they were from and why they were riding from the East Coast to Vancouver, B.C. It was truly inspiring, as was the video from prior trips and the talks from team leaders. Jim did a great job speaking about our affiliate, and I described our chosen families. The kids really seemed to be fired up.

Each of the kids personally raised $4,000 for the trip. They will be hosted by Habitats and churches across the country, and the less they have to spend $$ on food, the more $$ goes directly to Habitat. For their stay here, they did not pay one dime for food, so feel GREAT about that!!

There are 5 teams this year, a bump from the 2 teams that have gone each of the past 3 years. Each team is made up of 30 kids aged 18-25, and they all start on the East coast and end at the West coast.
