We Need…
LAND!
Our biggest challenge is finding property on which we can build houses. Many eligible families apply to be homeowners with only so much land available to us. We need help to find the next property where we will be able to build a house for a very deserving family.
- What type of property are we seeking?
- The most affordable property to build on is a lot on a public road with access to utilities. However, we are willing to explore any possibilities. Talk to us.
- I own a small piece of land, but it may not be buildable.
- Most municipalities are willing to work with Habitat in granting variances that would not be available for standard development. Talk to us.
- What if the property already has a building on it?
- We have rehabbed several homes or in some cases demolished and built new. Talk to us.
- Why should I donate land to SENHHFH?
- The most fundamental reason is the feeling of contributing to less fortunate families in building a stable life within the community. There are also significant tax advantages for donating land.
